RESOPAL® HPL

The Original from RESOPAL®

The origins, advantages and production of HPL.

DAS ORIGINAL VON RESOPL@

As a pioneer in surfaces, we have produced functional, elegant and versatile HPL panels for decades. Like wood or other materials, HPL can be easily applied to chipboard or other substrates and offers an almost infinite number of applications. Our product is durable, strong, and is particularly suitable for highly-used interior surfaces.

WHAT IS HPL?

RESOPAL® HPL (high-pressure laminate) is a decorative laminate that can be glued to different surfaces in the form of panels. HPL panels consist of several paper webs and core and decorative paper, which are impregnated with resin and pressed between steel sheets using heat and high pressure to form a uniform panel. The decor is typically a dyed or printed paper that can feature any colour or design.

Thanks to a wide selection of designs in solid colours and wood, stone and metal looks, you can enjoy practically unlimited freedom in your interior design ideas with HPL from RESOPAL®.

WHERE DOES HPL COME FROM?

This product originated from an idea for recycling at the end of the 19th century, and was patented in 1930. Since then, the material has carried the registered trademark name “RESOPAL®”. Thanks to the company’s long history, the product name RESOPAL® has established itself in German-speaking countries as a generic term for HPL panels. RESOPAL® HPL-coated kitchen worktops have stood for quality and durability for decades. In interior design, our product is particularly popular for doors, furniture and wall panelling, or as compact panels in wet rooms.
