Public Restroom for Truck Drivers

Project presentation

Functional design for a high-traffic public service area

A new public sanitary facility designed specifically for truck drivers was constructed in Iserlohn. The concept needed to meet strict requirements for hygiene, durability and easy maintenance while also creating a modern and welcoming appearance.

The exterior was finished with customised Motiv in RESOPLAN compact exterior boards. The orange design with its water-droplet motif gives the compact building a distinctive identity and makes it immediately recognisable.

Inside, the walls are fully clad in RESOPAL SpaStyling in the decor 335 Orange. The large-format panels continue the exterior colour concept while providing robust, hygienic and easy-to-clean surfaces for a frequently used sanitary environment.

The result shows that even highly functional public buildings can combine reliable performance with an inspiring visual concept.

Two complementary RESOPAL solutions were selected for the truck driver restroom in Iserlohn, addressing the different requirements of the exterior façade and the interior sanitary space.

Motiv in RESOPLAN was used for the customised façade. The exterior-grade panels combine individual design possibilities with high resistance to weather, UV radiation, frost, hail and mechanical impact.

The interior was fully clad in RESOPAL SpaStyling in the decor 335 Orange. Developed for wet and sanitary areas, the wall-cladding system provides hygienic, robust and easy-to-clean surfaces.

Together, the two products create a consistent design from the façade to the interior while meeting the demanding functional requirements of a public sanitary facility.
