Surfaces give the impression of depth. Laminate manufacturer Resopal is convinced they do. In the course of this year's Interzum presentation, the specialist of specialists is further extending its portfolio of surfaces with the target of exceeding expectations. This is where Resopal develops exemplary perfectionism, particularly in creating structural and spatial depth.

Even the first attempt to combine matt and shining surfaces back in 2009 was shown to be a complete success. The "PI – Pure Identity" surface with its floral high-gloss elements on stylish silky matt background revolutionised interior design as the first laminate wall decoration with its depth effect and potential to change spatial dimensions. The international panel of high-ranking judges from the "interzum award: intelligent material & design 2009" picked the surface for its high product quality.

    The "Room of well-being – RESOPAL® 2011>>" book

Covering 128 pages, the "Room of well-being – RESOPAL® 2011>>" book, appearing in two languages, lends itself to architects, designers and planners as a current practical work medium. Furthermore it is a presentation medium providing Resopal customers with the opportunity to draw attention to successful showpiece projects. The assurance, communicated in the title, of long-term availability well beyond 2011, not only provides planning certainly but also fosters creativity from which Resopal, in turn, hopes to gain from the recoil effect. The "Room of well-being – RESOPAL® 2011>>" book

The Interzum show from 25 to 28 May 2011 in Cologne is providing Resopal GmbH with the ideal platform for presenting all the latest from its interior design expertise. This is documented in words and pictures in the new "Room of well-being – RESOPAL® 2011>>" book. In addition to numerous ways of designing feel-good rooms, one thing makes it stand out most: proof that all products come from a company that operates responsibly, bringing together economic, ecological and social disciplines on the same level.

The first few pages come as a surprise: they show children drawing what they imagine their future will be like, employees posing with their parents in front of the Resopal factory, grandparents showing photos of their work today and 40 years ago, pictures documenting how personal expectations on sustainability are accomplished. The new Resopal book exposes what's important to the company: the people behind the product. The company's philosophy, told as a story from the past, present and future, clearly illustrates that Resopal not only understands the feel-good room to be an architecturally created space but also as a space people like to live in.

"We assume responsibility for our staff, their families and the future of their children." This guiding principle from the company's philosophy, "Projekt M", runs throughout the entire publication and makes clear than one cog meshes with the next: the future of coming generations has to do with a secure livelihood and protecting the environment. This is why, above everything else, the book shows how Resopal supports the production of solar energy, that the company uses green electricity from waterpower plants and why it obtained certification under the stringent criteria of PEFC and FSC.
